I recently found myself at the Resta Hotel in Port Said, a place strikingly situated at the confluence of the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea. Waking up to the sight of ships gliding by my balcony was a remarkable way to start the day. The surroundings are tranquil, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. I particularly enjoyed unwinding on the terrace near the seasonal outdoor pool, which was a nice feature. The hotel also has a restaurant offering a mix of Egyptian and international cuisine-favorite tastes of mine after years of working in the Middle East. On the service front, my experience was mostly pleasant, although there were instances of miscommunication due to limited English proficiency among some staff members. I did appreciate the staff's professionalism; they even upgraded my room to a suite at no extra charge. While there is room for improvement in the upkeep of the rooms, my overall stay was rejuvenating, and I believe this hotel has the potential to better cater to travelers seeking both ancient and modern comforts. If you're looking for a blend of serenity with captivating views, this might just be the spot for you.
